Students are required to write a Summary Paper (9 pages) not including the cover page.Students may choose from a variety of topics.Papers will be written in 3rd person, which means students will not use words like “I” and “my”, but those such as “research says” (all references must be documented–no wikipedia or like sources will be accepted. Use credible academic sources).Only in the final paragraph can students use 1st person language (I, me, my) and may do so by answering some of the following questions in the conclusionary paragraph: 1.Why you chose the situation you chose? 2.What family dynamics did you recognize? 3.What insights did you uncover which will benefit you? 4.What were some barriers, if any, that you encountered or feel you may encounter in your studies? 5.What opportunities do you feel you have uncovered as a result of your study? 6.If you could change anything about your life or situation, what would it be?Why? 7.What is the most significant lesson you learned in this study? 8.How will this study help you to be a better parent?
